Challenge2Society has a very simple mission:  Inspire and Motivate the world to donate 1 Billion community service hours.

And while our vision is simple, it will take work to achieve it.  This site is a work in progress; it will allow us to gather as a community and find those causes that we are passionate about.

Please log on and get started, your time is valuable.
How we started The idea for Challenge2Society to inspire and motivate people has it roots in the USMC's Toys-For-Tots (T4T) program. For the years 1995-7, Steve Gardner (GySgt Gardner) was running the T4T program for roughly 1/3 of Virginia, and was able to partner with radio DJ Slam Duncan.

In the photo you see a RV suspended by a crane, where Slam and Steve broadcasted 24 hours a day asking the people of Roanoke to donate bikes; and Steve, Slam and Neil standing in the sea of donated bikes.
Who are we? Challenge2Society- is simply put, everyday people; It is you, me, your neighbor, your Neighbor's 15 year old child, and the retired school teacher that lives next to you.

Challenge2Society is all of us that still feel the desire to help; Although sometimes we simply don't know how to..

Chalenge2Society is without boundaries; we embrace the world's causes as easily as we help with the local book drive.
Russian Orphanage Helped Orphanage receives toys and hope... In July 2007, I had a chance to help a friend-  On this particular occasion I was studying Russian at Moscow state university (Moscow, Russian Federation) and a friend's son (who with his two brothers, was adopted from a Russian Orphanage about two hours drive of Moscow) wanted to try and find his birth-mother after ten years. So I offered to help any way that I could. Little did I know that this would be the catalyst to start the Challenge2Society Site.

NBA at Moscow Orphanage

Great day... Got to meet some real cool guys who just happen to play basketball...

So, today I was fortunate to meet some great guys from the LA Clippers NBA team and the Russian League, who cared enough while they were on their European exhibition tour to stop by and support a local Russian Orphanage in Moscow. (unfortunately while i took some great pics with them and the kids, i forgot to get one of me with them... maybe next time guys...)Seeing these guys and how the children interacted with them was really cool- Wish i could have gotten on film when the kids pulled them onto the floor and every one was dancing traditional Russian dances- The stills of the dancing just don't seem to do the dancing justice... (maybe when I get new camera...)

Seeing them here today reminds me of how important that well known people make known their efforts to support their favorite charitable causes.  Having witness it first hand years ago, with the Toys for Tots program in Virginia, having one or two people (who other people connect with) suggesting that we get involved with a cause, can sometimes be just the catalyst to get us moving an collectively making a difference.  When this site gets fully develope it will lend itself to allowing people to make these connections.  Thanks guys for your time today, Know your tired from the 11 hour time difference and have practive right after this, but as you can see from some of these photos, you all really gave hope to these kids, that other people acknowldege them and are working to help make their lives better...

So attached below are some of the pics i took today...
